Notice of Adoption – Zoning Amendment

The Tawas City Council adopted Ordinance 333, an ordinance to amend the Zoning Ordinance, on May 5, 2025.  The Zoning Map and full text of the zoning ordinance are available at Tawas City Hall at 550 W Lake Street, Tawas City, MI 48763, tawascity.org, or by calling 989-362-8688.  The amendment shall take effect on the 10th day after this publication.  A summary of the amendment follows: Amend the zoning map to rezone 429 Mathews Street (Parcel 132-O11-022-004-00 and 132-O11-022-005-00) from R-1 to B-2 with the condition that the only use permitted on that lot is a Performing Arts Studio.
