Tawas Police Authority Meeting Notice

The Tawas Police Authority has scheduled a special meeting at 8:00 am on Monday, March 16, 2020 at the Tawas City City Hall, 550 West Lake Street. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the union agreement with the Tawas Police Association.

Tawas City Council is looking for residents who are interested in their community to fill the position on the Planning Commission starting April 1, 2020. FULL-TIME POSITION – City of Tawas City is accepting applications along with resumes for a full-time laborer position with the Department of Public Works. Tawas City provides a full benefit package which includes health insurance, life insurance, accidental death/dismemberment insurance, short-term disability insurance, and a defined contribution pension plan, paid time off, and training/certification reimbursements.  Applicants must have a valid driver’s license and must receive a CDL B license within 90 days of employment with airbrake endorsement.  Preference will be given to those with a CDL B license with the airbrake endorsement and those with experience in snow removal.
