Notice of Public Hearing

A public hearing will be held by the Tawas City Planning Commission at 6:00 pm on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at the Tawas City Hall, 550 West Lake Street, Tawas City, Michigan 48763 to receive comments on proposed Ordinance No. 336 to amend the Code of Ordinances, Appendix A, Zoning, Article 4 “District Regulations” Section 4.02 “Official Zoning Map” by changing zoning district as follows:

  • The property located at Fifth Street with parcel numbers 132-O11-044-001-00, 132-O11-044-014-00, 132-O11-055-000-00, and 132-O11-056-000-00 from PUD Planned Unit Development District to R-1 Single-Family Residential District.

Comments may be made in person, in writing to the City of Tawas City, 550 West Lake Street, PO Box 568, Tawas City, Michigan 48764, or emailed to the City Clerk at [email protected]. Copies of the draft ordinances are available for public review at City Hall or on the City’s website at tawascity.org.
