Annge Horning – City Manager
The City Manager is appointed by the City Council and serves as the chief administrative officer for the City. The City Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of municipal government and ensuring that the policies, ordinances, and goals established by the City Council are effectively implemented.
Working under the direction of the City Council, the City Manager provides leadership and supervision to all city departments, coordinates municipal services, and promotes efficient and responsive government operations. The City Manager works closely with department heads, employees, residents, businesses, and community organizations to address community needs and support the City’s long-term vision and strategic goals.
The office of the City Manager is responsible for preparing and administering the City’s annual budget, monitoring financial operations, and ensuring the responsible use of public funds. The City Manager also oversees personnel administration, capital improvement planning, economic development initiatives, grant opportunities, and special projects that enhance city services and infrastructure.
In addition, the City Manager serves as an advisor to the City Council by researching issues, developing recommendations, and preparing agenda items for City Council meetings. The City Manager attends all council meetings, keeps the Council informed on current issues and projects, and helps facilitate communication between elected officials, city staff, and the public.
