EYES Representative Receives $500 Duane Walters Memorial Scholarship

Tawas City Planning Commission Chair Mary Doak, right and Commissioner Tracy Stevelinck, right, are pictured with the group’s youth representative, McKenzie Nunn. A 2023-2024 junior at Tawas Area High School, Nunn is the fifth local student to have served on the commission as the Empowering Youth with Engagement Strategies representative. For her efforts this past year, Stevelinck presented Nunn with a $500 Duane Walters Memorial Scholarship toward her continued education.  Nunn will stay on as our EYES representative for the 2024-2024 school year.
