Tawas City Library

Tawas City, MI - Library

Tawas City Library, 208 W. North St., is a branch of the Iosco-Arenac District Library. Be sure to also visit the Tawas City Library Friends Book Store, open 9 a.m.- 1 p.m. Saturdays at the library. You can also let the kiddos burn off extra energy at the Library Pocket Park which was dedicated as Gordon Clute Memorial Park in 2009, for the cartoon characters that he created and donated to Tawas City.

Pathway to Learning at Tawas City Library
In 2023 the DPW started the process of constructing a “Pathway to Learning” at the library.  So far there has been a stenciled cement pathway installed, a donated gazebo (from Bryan and Sue Keyes of Alabaster Township) placed directly in the center of the pathway, and in 2024, the learning panels (teaching boards) will be installed to complete the project.  What a wonderful way to encourage reading and learning!  We hope to have this project completed by the end of the year.
