Iosco County 911 Board
Regular meetings of the Iosco County 911 Board are held at 10:00 a.m. on the second Wednesday of every other month, beginning in February. Meetings are conducted at Central Dispatch, located at 1795 Pine Trail in East Tawas.
The 911 Board was established and became operational in April 1996. The Board serves in an advisory capacity and provides oversight and guidance related to emergency dispatch and 911 communication services within Iosco County.
The Board consists of nine members representing various public safety agencies and local government entities throughout the county. Membership includes:
- The Iosco County Sheriff
- One representative from the Iosco County Board of Commissioners
- One representative from the Michigan State Police
- One representative from the City of Tawas City
- One representative from the City of East Tawas
- One representative from Oscoda Charter Township
- One representative from the Iosco Townships Association
- One representative from the Fire Chiefs Association
- One representative from Iosco County Emergency Medical Services (EMS)
The 911 Board works collaboratively to support efficient emergency communication services and public safety operations for residents and visitors throughout Iosco County.
